Based on JavaScript, the Web Audio API enables the creation of online synthesizers, web-based audio effects or DAWs, musical games, and similar applications directly in the web browser. Related frameworks such as the Web MIDI API, Verovio, and VexFlow expand these possibilities towards ear training apps or music theory websites. This workshop provides an overview of these cutting-edge technologies, hopefully along with plenty of inspiration of what you could do with them! Bring your own laptop! Counts towards credit for Modul 5 "Professionalisierung" and can be combined with other workshops from the same series.
