Bemerkung |
In contrast to most music notation software's WYSIWYG paradigm ("what you see is what you get"), Lilypond employs a code-based approach to typesetting sheet music, which offers huge benefits especially for musicologists. In combination with LaTeX, you can re-use the same code representing a music fragment to automatically render a variety of document types (e.g., presentations, articles, posters, websites, etc.). For each document, fonts, font size, line breaks, etc. are automatically matched to the respective environment -- no need to manually generate multiple graphics for the same music example. Bring your own laptop! Counts towards credit for Modul 5 "Professionalisierung" and can be combined with other workshops from the same series.
